For my senior thesis, I created a conceptual company, "Advoact", which aims to bridge the communication gap between parents and teachers of mainstream elementary school students with chronic illnesses. It focuses on three common illnesses: Asthma, Juvenile Diabetes, and Irritable Bowel Diseases (Crohn's Disease & Ulcerative Colitis).
I designed and coded the website using HTML, CSS & JQuery. Photographs were a combination of my own and sourced from Corbis, Veer, Stocksy. Content was adapted from the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America.
Dollars & Sense
Dollars & Sense is a conceptualized iPad application designed to inspire the 18-25 year old demographic to learn about personal finance in a simple, yet entertaining way, created by myself along with classmates, Karly Nelson, Chloe Reibold and Zach Thomas.
I was in charge of the logo development We collaborated and came up with a mark that was based off of the application's overarching theme of building your knowledge, and making something out of what you already have.

Open Your Eyes is a zine I curated consisting of ten stories relating to current social issues.
I designed the first article, The Golden Dream, which is based on exposing child labor in the gold-mining business in Burkina Faso. Content and photography was adapted from the essay, "One Million Children Labor Africa's Goldmines" by Larry C. Price from The Raw Story.
Based on the NYTimes.com article "Expecting the Best Yields Results in Massachusetts" by Kenneth Chang, this book is a timeline of events building up to Massachusett's recent educational successes. Photographs were all taken by me.

Collectors' Stamps designed as a call to action to end child labor. Emphasis was placed on the textures of luxury products that children around the world create while enduring terrible conditions.
Throughout my semester in Florence, Italy, I analyzed my constantly changing relationship with my mother through the study of the way in which fruit decays, and is destroyed. My focus was on representing something that was once there and what was left of it at the present moment.
